Co-op work site at the USS Intrepid
S.C.T.E. conducts a cooperative education program situated on the USS
Intrepid Air / Sea and Space Museum. The program accepts special education
students in a paid alternate week coop model. These students receive
occupational education and fundamental life skills training as they are taught
general maintenance skills including, but not limited to:
| General tool skills, tool and work site safety

| Basic Electrical
|
| Basic Plumbing
|
| Intermediate to advanced – oxyacetylene burning
|
| Fundamental welding skills
|
| Maintenance of facilities, i.e., locks, door hinges, light furniture
repair, etc.

| General employability training – life skills
|
|
